I See Some!!
Nothing beats driving around looking at christmas lights with my boys. Aidan yells "To the left to the left." And Zeke yells "I see some mine mommy mine!" And of course when there is a lack of lights he yells "More mommy!" Aidan has me sing christmas songs the whole time, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is his favorite, he even sings it with me :)

Thanksgiving!!
Halloween
Yes I know its December but you also know me by now so you shouldn't be surprised. Halloween was sooo fun and the boys were so cute! Aidan let me dress him up as an Ewok and I got to get all crafty and make it myself :) Zeke was a mouse and loved that his manos had little mouse gloves over them. We went to our churches trunk or treat and Aidan had more fun passing out candy than he did getting it so Zeke and I went ahead and collected. Called it an early night, except for me who went out with my derby girls to see Rocky Horror Pict Show which was a fun time but don't think I need to go again, guess I'm not that crazy anymore but I'm ok with that.

Am I a Blogger?
So if I only blog four times a year can I call myself a blogger? I am thinking not. But since blogger is such a fun word to say I think I will try and improve on it. So here is a rundown of our lives. Aidan started pre-school, I do a joy school with four other moms, and he is doing great! At first he didn't want to go or do anything but now he doesn't even need me to walk him to the door :( He likes to write and color and I love watching him do it. He has started roller derby too. Don't worry I'm not serious, I just got him some skates and pads and he loves to skate around and says he is going to roller derby with me. Zeke follows him on his skates but points to his elbows and beeps since he doesn't have pads yet. My baby Zeke is talking! He loved saying Pumpkin King during October and it is still perhaps his favorite word. Aidan likes to teach him how to talk, it doesn't get any better than seeing the older one read to the little one. He is also helping him learn to pee in the potty, Zeke thinks he is a big boy now, he doesn't realize he needs to pee in the potty and not on it! Everyday I am home with my boys I can't believe how lucky I am. My husband rocks, he supports me in roller derby (my new love), works super hard and plays with his boys like crazy. The boys favorite thing to do is climb all over us in bed and hide from one of us and jump out from under the covers and scare us, too frikin cute!

Zekie'e First Words/Roller Derby/My Crazy 3yr old
Ok I am super excited that my little guy is starting to talk. Here is a list of his first words
Ball (his true first word)
Duck
Balloon
Jeep (Daddy's Favorite)
Yellow
Purple
Oh Yeah (No really, he said this)
He is too cute, and I'm not just saying that because he's mine
Aidan has been crazy!! Right now all the craziness has caught up to him and he is asleep on my bedroom floor hugging his Whoppy, it is seriously too cute. Lately he has been full speed ahead, and not misbehaving, just crazy. He likes to call his Uncle Jon "Compost" and Jon just puts him in the compost, Aidan loves that game. Like I said, he is crazy.
My husband is so awesome and supports me doing roller derby. I love it. I am now Smashin Smeesha, thanks for the derby name dad. I got a fat lip the first practice but on the second and third I took a "special" class and now I can actually pretend to know what I am doing.

Summer? What Summer?
Ok so its now almost the middle of August and the boys didn't want to go outside because it was sprinkling. Seriously, this is getting old. I have enjoyed the fact that my house has not been an oven, and if I forget sunscreen I hardly get a tint of red, but I wouldn't mind a few warmer days. Ok I'm done complaining. Yesterday we went to Great America with Russell's work and it was a blast! The boys were sooo good, they loved the rides, well most of them. Aidan is against anything that goes up and down and Zeke screams when you take him off of any ride that has a steering wheel. Russell went with Megan on the crazy bungee type ride while Ryan and I watched safely from the ground, Russell screamed like a girl but a very brave girl. Aidan is in the big brother role full swing, he loves holding Zeke's hand and when we start to walk away and Zeke doesn't follow he yells "Its Ok I'll get him!" Gotta love the bond between brothers. I made my first wedding cake this weekend! It turned out great, I was actually surprised I could make something so beautiful.

Big Boys Don't Cry......
I guess my baby can't be that big yet. Today was an exciting day, Aidan was getting a new carseat. We were at Target to buy him a big boy carseat, I even found one with planes and army stars and cup holders, all that a boy could need....or so I thought. As soon as I took it out of the box the tears flowed down his face and the screaming started, and this went on and on for about 20min. I bribed him with toys, candy, and all the things a good mother would bribe her child with, and nothing worked. I tried threats, no candy, no toys, no boots (that one I feel bad about). I tried singing to him and talking it up to him, pointing out all the coolness that his possesed and Zeke's did not. Nothing was working. Finally I put his butt down and found a position that I could hold him down and pull the seatbelt down to buckle. Thankfully, it worked. I only got about 20 dirty looks through the whole ordeal but at least none of them called the cops on me. Finally one lady came over to make sure I didn't need help with my obviously distraught child, and I was giving up hope on people still posessing compassion. After a trip to Trader Joes which resulted in the promised ginger cookies and corn puffs, he loves his big boy carseat. As for Zeke, he got cookies so he could care less. Or the joys of being 3.

I'm Baaaaccckkkk
Ok so I am sooo not good at doing this everyday, every week, or even every month. So here is a quick rundown of our lives.
Russell and I did our first tri-athalon in May! We did the mountain bike course at Wildflower, it was a blast, we both did great and made some great new friends and enjoyed time with Nick and Anna Brannen. We are also finally starting to put in a deck in our yard so we don't live in a dustbowl. We are being eco-friendly and making it out of old pallets, wish us luck!
Aidan had to say bye to his trampoline but his nice daddy built him a fort. Hooray for daddy! Aidan's new sayings are as follows: "Whats going on here guys?!" "I want your back"(he likes to drive cars on Russ' back) "I don't like your haircut mommy, you need to fix it"(At least I like my bangs) there are many more and if I start doing this more maybe I can remember them all.
Zeke is growing out of baby phase and entering the toddler years. He loves being on the fort with the big boys, mostly he runs around and roars at me down below, I love it. He still beeps, coos, and blows rasberries as his form of communication. He does say Grandpa, Dadda, Momma, and something that sounds like puppy. All in all he is still super cute.
We got to take the boys to monster trucks again in Chico, Zeke stayed behind but Aidan had lots of fun with grandpa. Russ and I rode in the back of one, it was pretty awesome! We got to see Roman there too and Aidan's face just lit up to see his big cousin. We took them to Gizdich Ranch in Watsonville and they played on the tractor forever then moved to the hay tunnel and played some more, then we went home and enjoyed the pie.The boys are so amazing to me everyday. They are so sweet with eachother and I know they are starting to be friends. Beach trips are approaching and I can't wait to enjoy the coast.

Monster Trucks!!! & Days 5, 6, & 7
Saturday was Monster Jam and it was awesome! Josh & Sawyer joined us and Grandpa decided to come along too, Zeke stayed with Grandma, sorry buddy next time. The boys had so much fun yelling and cheering and playing with eachother. It was just a perfect night together with friends and family. Aidan loved the dirtbikes that came out and when the monster trucks started freestyle he was loving that too. Him and Sawyer were so well behaved too which made the night even better. And of course everyone would have starved, or spent $50 on food, if this momma hadn't of come along. Basically, I had a blast.
Saturday I made some cupcakes for my friends party, it was my first paid assingment. It was a lot of work but I enjoyed it too.
Sunday I allowed myself to sleep in for a change, thank you Russell.
Monday I went to Target all alone, yes I had to get things for the house but they were those little extra things that I had been depriving myself of. I got a shower rod for the shower curtains to cover up those ugly shower doors.
Russell had himself a great time at Monster Jam and also had himself a nap earlier in the day, your welcome :)
Sunday he let me sleep but had himself the last chocolate cupcake! I guess I can forgive that.
Monday he went for a bike ride again, he is loving those, and relaxed with some video games.

Days 2,3 and 4-Mud, Mud, Bats, Cats, & More Mud
Hey I never said I would post daily.....ha ha. So here is a run down of our lives in the past 3 days
Day 2
Today with the boys, as in all 5 boys, we played outside until it was raining to much. "Auntie Lisa we better get out of here!" While Owen, Avery, and Aidan ran for the door Zeke and Wyatt were happy as could be sitting in the mud. Don't worry I brought them in too. Then we made bats and talked about how they hand upside down to sleep and squeak to find their food at night. This resulted in Avery and Wyatt pretending to be bats, too cute. They enjoyd PB Tacos for lunch, good thing since I had nothing else to feed them :)
Well I decided I would allow myself to buy my B-day gift early, Russell encouraged it so I gladly went along. I got a pink i-Pod with an adapter to my car. I am soooo excited! I am tired of the radio and I can't keep all my CDs in my car so this seems like a good option. I am going to load the thing up with my music, kids music, and some church music.
Russell hung out with the family today instead of going to school on time. We ended up taking him so that he wasn't late, your welcome Russell. It was so nice to sit and listen to him playing with the boys, their giggles are priceless.
Day 3
Today was mud mud muddy for the boys, they crack me up. Zeke went from being afraid of the water to loving every minute of being in a puddle. He was covered in mud! Aidan had so much mud on his feet and arms that I stripped both of them down outside and took them immediatley to the bath, of course Zeke cried. It was so fun to be outside watching them dig and play together.
So I decided to start another blog for my baking, I love love love to bake! It is called Bossys Cakes and Treats. I put up a cake offer on freecycle and had tons of responses, I already overbooked myself, good thing I am not running a real business. It intimidates me but I really want to be able to expand my baking abilities and creativity.
Russell went on a nice bike ride with his dad again, he really enjoys that time alone talking with him and getting out into the fresh air after a day of being inside all day really helps. He always comes home happy and beat from his rides and Aidan loves to get a little ride around the yard with him.
Day 4
Boys boys boys! I love being in a house full of little boys. Today we made cats, played in the mud, and Owen and I pulled weeds. No I didn't force slave labor on him, he was all happy that he was allowed on the other side of the fence with me as Wyatt and Zeke looked on in dispair. Avery and Aidan just jumped around singing "This is a booby This is a booby." Not quite sure where they got that from.
Well today I baked and baked and baked, please refer to my baking blog for pics :) It was really fun to get creative in the kitchen and the results were fabulous.
Russell had a loooong day at work so not sure if he got much time to himself but when he came home he did enjoy a tall glass of milk with some cupcakes, the kids were in bed so he didn't even have to share!

Day 1 of 365
So today I decided I would start off strong and do some pilates all by myself, followed but a cup of tea and a few minutes on the computer. Let me tell you after a full day of appointments and cleaning it feels great to stop. Aidan had his 3yr apt and was an angel, and yes he is happy and healthy at 3.5feet, 35lbs and a great bp and temp. He had to wear a gown so I told him it was a Batman cape, he wore it and I now have it in my home. After being out sick, hurt, and then on vacation, for 3 weeks the house was, well lets just say it wasn't pretty. Thankfully I found the motivation to get up off my booty and clean! Aidan woke up from his nap, which took 1.5hrs of patience to get him down, and said "Mommy you cleaned the house!" Guess I did a good job :)
Russell went on 2 bike rides today! One alone and one with his dad, lets just say his legs are going to be hurtin tomorrow! I see that it definitely helped him relax, he came in beaming and just so happy to be with his family.
Tonight we had Family Home Evening and it was great. I taught how the scriptures help us grow as we read them. The beginning of the lesson was the best.
Me: What are these? (holding up scriptures)
Aidan: Scriptures
Me: Who gave them to us?
Aidan: Heavenly Father
Me: Why did he give them to us?
Aidan: So we can learn to be like Jesus
Basically he taught it for me! I was so happy to know that he didn't need me to tell him that. Then we talked about how as we read them we grow closer to God and grow spiritually. We told the kids how the scriptures help us grow as people to be more like Jesus. Then we put those little capsules that grow into something (ours turned into tractors) into warm water and watched them grow. The kids loved it! Zeke was so happy playing with his dump truck. Our little Zeke loves the dirt, he would rather sit in a hole with a shovel than be inside anyday.

The Start of The 365 Day Goal
So our goal is to think of 1 thing we can do each day for ourselves. Every day we do things for others, which by all means is super great and completely neccessary so that we do not become selfish. As a stay at home mom of 2 great little boys and a wife to a wonderful husband I sometimes find myself wanting to scream "What about me!?" Now this does not happen every day, but when it does I sometimes go on overload and overspend, overeat, or overslack on responsibilities which in turn leads to overstressing. I also see my husband go to work for us everyday, go to school, come home and help with the kids and house. Then we go about sitting and pretending that we are relaxing as we poke on the internet or play video games, both are relaxing but you can't do that every night. Hopefully we are able to both find something that we can do for ourselves everyday to help us break from the habit of only doing things for others. This will defenitly be an adventure.

Ice Cream!

Doesn't get any better than heading out with my boys and getting some ice cream. We went to Baskin Robbins and Aidan got Pink Bubblegum, I got PB & Chocolate and Daddy got Mint Choc Chip. Aidan ate his whole cone all by himself, no surprise there and Zeke shared with me. Somehow Russ is the only one who didn't have to share.....hmmmmm. After being sick with the flu and suffering from a messed up back it was so nice to be out and about again, hopefully I stay healthy so my boys and I can play.
