He hit it to the outfield!

Aidan, today you hit the ball into the outfield!! I was so excited, the ball was hit so hard and it was awesome watching you run around the bases. I love watching you play, its worth all the crazy running around, windy nights, Levi running onto the field, its worth it all.

Zeke's Bed

His new bed, he made it himself :)

Made some new friends and they invited us to the zoo...I think they liked it.

March Park find

Photo: And then we found this awesomeness....glad not every park got rid of these, so many memories

Boys loved this...and I loved all the memories that came back :)

Zeke

At t-ball "Today my coach told me that I have the best baseball stance ever" This kid loves his t ball. Levi claps for him and runs out onto the field all the time, time for a leash! Zeke's favorite line "I don't like you, I love you!" Telling the boys about St Patrick's day and Zeke asks "so when is Spongebob and Gary day?" I'm pretty sure he was not paying attention.
Here he is being Indiana Jones, I had to call him that alllll day.

This is from our Cali trip in Feb, he made me pretty :)

Aidan

A few days ago he came home and said "I don't know why I keep all the best dance moves to myself, I just want them to be top secret" Then I see him busting out the moves a day later :) Now he likes to sing along, very quietly, in the car to songs on the radio, I guess he is liking his Wii Dance PE at school. Here he is waiting for the bus, big boy is growing up. No more baths, no more drawing on Daddy's back for an hour, likes to read so much more now, ready scriptures on his own and says "freakin" all the time haha. I miss my little guy but am proud of who he is becoming. Always the first to help clean up the mats at Judo, pulls Levi in the wagon for me and is so helpful at home with chores.

Levi

Tonight all of the mischief Levi has gotten into finally caught up to him....

This kid has been getting into everything!! Pulling out dishes, throwing everything in the trash, dropping pots on my feet, and tries to run onto the field to play with his brothers baseball teams. He drives me crazy but he is worth it.

Valenites Day

I always woke up to a valentine from my mom, hand made, store bought, it didn't matter. Trails of hearts leading downstairs to breakfast. Pink pancakes, whipped cream, strawberries, sausage, bacon, eggs, orange juice. Glittery hearts on the table, love filled the room. I still have some of these valentines but I will always have the memories of my mom. Now its my turn. Heart attacked the door for the boys, they are my valentines since Russ is at work. I love them with all my heart. I am so grateful that they are in my life. So grateful that I get to be their mom, that I am entrusted with their precious little souls. They fill my life with so much love, I can't imagine them not being in it. Grateful for the mom I had, grateful for the mom I have become, praying for those moms that are hurting from the loss of their little loves. The ones that light up our lives, the ones that make us keep going on no sleep, the ones who make us laugh when we barely hanging on, the ones who remind us how beautiful we are, how strong we are, how loving we are, how much we love being Mom.

Zeke Turned 5!

Here are just some random memories of Zeke that I'm jotting down for myself.

We Made it a Whole Month

We have been here a whole month in our new home state of Idaho! Boys are doing great, Zeke goes to pre-school and is getting along with everyone great, he even invited his whole class to his birthday party, I'm glad there are only 12 kids or I'd be in real trouble. He is also doing great learning of course, he said his alpharap on his own on his 3rd day there! He was very proud of his M&Ms and I was very proud of my big boy. Aidan officially started his homeschool program and I have to say I love seeing him learn, I honestly didn't think it'd be as fun as it is. Levi has a new nickname...Terrible T! We love the little guy when he does his happy dance, gives us kisses and hugs, blows kisses, helps load the dishwasher and dryer....but those bites! Ouch! He is putting his 4 little teeth to good use on our legs and arms, but he's our little stinker so we'll keep him. Russ loves being around so many car and gun lovers, I have to say I'm pretty sure he was never meant to wear flip flops all year long like I was. Big things are in the works and can't wait until it all falls into place but until then I'll keep saving for more memory so I can upload pics to this blog again so that you don't go through withdrawals of seeing my super awesome kids.

My Day with Boys

Today I fell asleep on the couch, woke up in the jungle with a baby tiger sleeping by me who woke up and turned into a sabertooth and bit me. Then I fell back asleep with a baby chick and woke up in a cage where Thor came to save me and fight off the frost giants, but he didn't know my baby chick was nice and started to kill us too. Then a box came with a snowstorm inside and there were lots of laughs in our living room, snow angels, and snowball fights. My life is pretty awesome. Oh, I also got told that I'm boring and awesome in the same sentence, I'm assuming it was a compliment lol.

Why I Love the Thor, the God of Thunder

Yes I love Thor, yes he makes me giggle when he comes on screen, when he talks, and when he doesn't have his shirt on, and when he throws his cup down and asks for "Another!" I so wish I could serve him some coffee. My husband knows this, he had no problem accepting it and he laughs at me when I can't hold it in even when I try. He figures if my crush is on a fictional character that wears a red cape, lives on a planet far far away and is in love with Natalie Portman he doesn't have much to worry about, its not like its my next door neighbor. So for Christmas he was kind enough to purchase Thor and The Avengers for me...giggle fest for mommy!! I just to clarify that my love of Thor goes beyond that, I am after all, an action loving, superhero story line nerd and Thor fulfills those needs as well as the girly side of me. The side that loves being swept off my feet like Jane, and that used to not only used to run around with a sheet around my neck for a cape but also couldn't help but notice that Superman had nice big muscles when I was a little girl. Ok, who am I kidding, I still jump at the chance to wear a cape whenever the occasion calls.
Thor fell for the girl with brains, Jane is beautiful, but not in the bombshell, over photo shopped, over plastic surgery way. She is the girl next door, she is a nerd, she doesn't put much into her hair, she doesn't wear high heels everywhere she goes (although I'm sure she would pull out some amazing heels if the occasion called). Yes she falls into the "Save me Thor" role in the second Thor but hey can you blame her? She was overtaken by an alien force that was pure evil, and she was just trying to use her super smart brain to find Thor as any of us would. Thor does his superhero duty and saves her, along with a ton of other people that would have died had he not performed his calling as son of Odin. He talks like a gentleman, kisses her on the hand, shows gratitude for everything that anyone does for him and all the while battling Loki and whatever is sent his way with his trusty hammer, Mjolnir, and in a red cape, or shirtless depending on the scene.
So thank you Thor for being a gentleman, for showing that being cocky and full of yourself does not get you the throne, for choosing Jane over the throne and being loyal even though you were separated from her for waaaay more miles than anyone should ever have to be separated from their true love. And of course, thank you for working out so much so that you can be fit enough to save the world.

Our fist weeks in Idaho

We have been here for almost 3 weeks and there are already ups and downs. Ups are reconnecting with old friends, finding new adventures with the boys, finally having a house with more than 1 bathroom and snowball fights...can't forget the snowball fights :) Downs are missing friends, missing family (mostly my nephews and nieces, sorry everyone else but its true), and missing the beach. Tonight is a homesick night, today seemed to be the day everyone thought of me and sent me pics, videos or texts. They were much appreciated! Had the boys write letters to some friends and family to distract them from daddy being gone to work, played, cuddled and now its me time. Sitting here with my tea, biscotti and computer posting pictures of our new adventure to distract me from what I miss. So far its working. The boys love the snow, their faces while they throw a snowball at my window are priceless. They are connecting with new friends and run around they house with them laughing until us adults realize its after 10pm. Loving life, remembering my blessings and blogging them to make sure I can't forget...EVER!!!
