Days 2,3 and 4-Mud, Mud, Bats, Cats, & More Mud

Hey I never said I would post daily.....ha ha. So here is a run down of our lives in the past 3 days

Day 2

Today with the boys, as in all 5 boys, we played outside until it was raining to much. "Auntie Lisa we better get out of here!" While Owen, Avery, and Aidan ran for the door Zeke and Wyatt were happy as could be sitting in the mud. Don't worry I brought them in too. Then we made bats and talked about how they hand upside down to sleep and squeak to find their food at night. This resulted in Avery and Wyatt pretending to be bats, too cute. They enjoyd PB Tacos for lunch, good thing since I had nothing else to feed them :)

Well I decided I would allow myself to buy my B-day gift early, Russell encouraged it so I gladly went along. I got a pink i-Pod with an adapter to my car. I am soooo excited! I am tired of the radio and I can't keep all my CDs in my car so this seems like a good option. I am going to load the thing up with my music, kids music, and some church music.

Russell hung out with the family today instead of going to school on time. We ended up taking him so that he wasn't late, your welcome Russell. It was so nice to sit and listen to him playing with the boys, their giggles are priceless.

Day 3
Today was mud mud muddy for the boys, they crack me up. Zeke went from being afraid of the water to loving every minute of being in a puddle. He was covered in mud! Aidan had so much mud on his feet and arms that I stripped both of them down outside and took them immediatley to the bath, of course Zeke cried. It was so fun to be outside watching them dig and play together.

So I decided to start another blog for my baking, I love love love to bake! It is called Bossys Cakes and Treats. I put up a cake offer on freecycle and had tons of responses, I already overbooked myself, good thing I am not running a real business. It intimidates me but I really want to be able to expand my baking abilities and creativity.

Russell went on a nice bike ride with his dad again, he really enjoys that time alone talking with him and getting out into the fresh air after a day of being inside all day really helps. He always comes home happy and beat from his rides and Aidan loves to get a little ride around the yard with him.

Day 4
Boys boys boys! I love being in a house full of little boys. Today we made cats, played in the mud, and Owen and I pulled weeds. No I didn't force slave labor on him, he was all happy that he was allowed on the other side of the fence with me as Wyatt and Zeke looked on in dispair. Avery and Aidan just jumped around singing "This is a booby This is a booby." Not quite sure where they got that from.

Well today I baked and baked and baked, please refer to my baking blog for pics :) It was really fun to get creative in the kitchen and the results were fabulous.

Russell had a loooong day at work so not sure if he got much time to himself but when he came home he did enjoy a tall glass of milk with some cupcakes, the kids were in bed so he didn't even have to share!

Day 1 of 365

So today I decided I would start off strong and do some pilates all by myself, followed but a cup of tea and a few minutes on the computer. Let me tell you after a full day of appointments and cleaning it feels great to stop. Aidan had his 3yr apt and was an angel, and yes he is happy and healthy at 3.5feet, 35lbs and a great bp and temp. He had to wear a gown so I told him it was a Batman cape, he wore it and I now have it in my home. After being out sick, hurt, and then on vacation, for 3 weeks the house was, well lets just say it wasn't pretty. Thankfully I found the motivation to get up off my booty and clean! Aidan woke up from his nap, which took 1.5hrs of patience to get him down, and said "Mommy you cleaned the house!" Guess I did a good job :)

Russell went on 2 bike rides today! One alone and one with his dad, lets just say his legs are going to be hurtin tomorrow! I see that it definitely helped him relax, he came in beaming and just so happy to be with his family.

Tonight we had Family Home Evening and it was great. I taught how the scriptures help us grow as we read them. The beginning of the lesson was the best.
Me: What are these? (holding up scriptures)
Aidan: Scriptures
Me: Who gave them to us?
Aidan: Heavenly Father
Me: Why did he give them to us?
Aidan: So we can learn to be like Jesus
Basically he taught it for me! I was so happy to know that he didn't need me to tell him that. Then we talked about how as we read them we grow closer to God and grow spiritually. We told the kids how the scriptures help us grow as people to be more like Jesus. Then we put those little capsules that grow into something (ours turned into tractors) into warm water and watched them grow. The kids loved it! Zeke was so happy playing with his dump truck. Our little Zeke loves the dirt, he would rather sit in a hole with a shovel than be inside anyday.

The Start of The 365 Day Goal

So our goal is to think of 1 thing we can do each day for ourselves. Every day we do things for others, which by all means is super great and completely neccessary so that we do not become selfish. As a stay at home mom of 2 great little boys and a wife to a wonderful husband I sometimes find myself wanting to scream "What about me!?" Now this does not happen every day, but when it does I sometimes go on overload and overspend, overeat, or overslack on responsibilities which in turn leads to overstressing. I also see my husband go to work for us everyday, go to school, come home and help with the kids and house. Then we go about sitting and pretending that we are relaxing as we poke on the internet or play video games, both are relaxing but you can't do that every night. Hopefully we are able to both find something that we can do for ourselves everyday to help us break from the habit of only doing things for others. This will defenitly be an adventure.

Ice Cream!

Doesn't get any better than heading out with my boys and getting some ice cream. We went to Baskin Robbins and Aidan got Pink Bubblegum, I got PB & Chocolate and Daddy got Mint Choc Chip. Aidan ate his whole cone all by himself, no surprise there and Zeke shared with me. Somehow Russ is the only one who didn't have to share.....hmmmmm. After being sick with the flu and suffering from a messed up back it was so nice to be out and about again, hopefully I stay healthy so my boys and I can play.
